Timber Log Cabins Australia imports, tailors and designs European-style log cabins and buildings directly to any Australian address. Besides the well-known garden sheds, we also design and import tiny houses - and we are the first and only Australian importer of solid log houses suitable for any size family!
European-made Log Cabins use materials that are ideally suitable for the colder European climates, but some of these do not perform adequately in the generally warmer and more humid Australian climates. This is where Timber Log Building Australia comes in – we import European Log Buildings made from traditional high-quality timber, sustainably sourced from the Baltic States forests, and modify the necessary components for the Australian climate and your individual needs.
The solid log walls already guarantee superior insulation values - but on top of this, you also get an external cladding kit, creating a wall cavity that makes these cabins the very best insulated residential houses around! Double outer walls (with cavity) also comply with the "National Construction Code" (NCC) so you will have no hassles with your DAs and building approvals. Of course, all services (electrical, plumbing etc) can easily be run through the wall cavity similar to conventional "stick-and-brick" constructions.
All our residential solid timber log houses will also be supplied with European made double-glazed windows featuring "tilt-and-turn" openings, which are far superior to the standard aluminium single glazed windows commonly used in Australia.
Roofing and flooring normally recommended for the European version of your cabin are not suitable for Australian conditions, which is why we recommend using Termi-Floor® / StructaFloor® for the floors, and for the roof corrugated roofing by COLORBOND® or roof tiles.
